Shema Yisrael – Hear, Israel – that was the title of Janusz Makuch’s lecture, which opened this year’s series of festival lectures.

This was not an ordinary lecture. It was a very personal and deeply sincere reflection on the theme of this year’s festival edition, about the reasons and motives for giving this edition such a title. And about the situation in which this decision was made: the personal experience of the events of October 7, which Janusz Makuch followed from Jerusalem.
