The 34th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival will take place from June 25 to 29, 2025, and will be dedicated to Kazimierz – the Jewish quarter of Krakow.

Kuzmir, in Polish Kazimierz – the Jewish heart of Christian Krakow – this is what Janusz Makuch writes in his essay about the 34th FKŻ. In recent years, as a result of the increasing commercialization of Kazimierz and its tourism – this Jewishness is less and less visible, despite the revival and increasingly resilient Jewish community.

Therefore, we want to show during the festival what constitutes the genius loci of Kazimierz, which has been home to our festival since 1988, and a generous land of Galician Jews for hundreds of years (J. Makuch).

We will show you the historical heritage of Jewish Kazimierz and its traces on today’s map of the district. We will also show you this true, non-commercial modern face of Kuzmir.

We look forward to seeing you!

We will provide more information about the 34th FKŻ | Kuzmir (program, tickets, accreditations) in spring 2025. Recruitment of long-term and short-term volunteers will begin in January.
