This is Not Normal: Contemporary Antisemitism, a structural analysis (EN / PL)

This lecture will explore the current state of antisemitism in the world.  It is analyze it from a comparative and structural perspective.  How is it similar/different from other prejudices and hatreds?  Why is it often compared to a shape shifting virus?  And what can possibly be done to counter it? 

Deborah E. Lipstadt, Ph.D was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 30, 2022 as the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, with the rank of Ambassador. As Special Envoy, she led efforts to advance U.S. foreign policy to counter antisemitism throughout the world. 

Special Envoy Lipstadt has a storied career as a historian, academic, and author. At Emory University’s Tam Institute for Jewish Studies, which she helped to found, she served as the Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies. She has also taught at the University of Washington, UCLA, and Occidental College. Lipstadt also served as a research fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
