Piano recital – Yehuda Prokopowicz

Music is for me the key to opening the doors of space. Through it, I can introduce various flavors, scents, or feelings into the atmosphere of a room, a classroom, or a concert hall. I can touch the listener with it, conveying what I think, see, and desire. Through sound, I strive to open hearts and minds; I try to make others fall in love with Music, approaching a state that some call Perfection. Only Music provides such joy, colors, and profound reflections.

Yehuda Prokopowicz was born in 2005. He began his piano studies at the age of four with his sister Veronika, a student of Prof. Eitan Globerson. His education in Krakow music schools led him to the Master class of Prof. Stefan Wojtas, who has been teaching Yehuda since 2018. In 2024, he graduated with honors from the W. Żeleński State Secondary Music School in Krakow. He is currently a second-year student at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, in the class of Dr. Krzysztof Książek. 

The pianist was a semi-finalist of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw and received a special prize for the best performance of Mazurkas. He is also a laureate of over 30 national and international competitions. 

He has studied under such eminent artists and educators as Prof. Lidia Grychtołówna, Prof. Alexander Kobrin, Prof. Eldar Nebolsin, Prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Prof. Zbigniew Raubo, and Prof. Claudio Martinez, among others. 

In 2024, Yehuda had the honor of performing at the 8th Artur Rubinstein Festival in Łódź. He has also performed in renowned venues such as Salle Cortot in Paris, the Teatr Wielki-Polish National Opera in Warsaw, the Krakow Philharmonic, the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, the Łódź Philharmonic, and the Baltic Philharmonic. In 2024, the pianist was awarded the “Młoda Polska” (Young Poland) scholarship. In 2026, he won the Polityka Passport Readers’ Choice Award. He is an Honorary Scholar of the Pro Musica Bona Foundation.
