Meeting with Dr. Janina Rościszewska-Krawczyk — Righteous Among the Nations (PL)

Ms. Janina Rościszewska-Krawczyk is one of the photographed subjects in Stronger Than Fear — a moving collection of 36 portraits of the Righteous Among the Nations, published by the Claims Conference, featuring texts by Małgorzata Quinkenstein and photographs by Benjamin Reich.
Janina Rościszewska-Krawczyk’s family saved 20 Jews, whom they hid for nearly four years. As a child, Janina crossed the boundaries of fear every day, supporting her parents despite the obvious threat to their lives. “Do what is right and do not worry about the outcome,” her father would say. In 1990, the entire family was honored by Yad Vashem with the title of Righteous Among the Nations.
During the meeting at JCC Krakow, we will speak with this Righteous Among the Nations honoree and the author who writes about childhood heroism, courage that knows no limits, and the Polish-Jewish families forged through circumstance and choice, united by bonds that go far beyond conventional family ties.
